So Long We Miss You Forever (2008). Collaboration with Vanessa Kwan
So long we miss you forever, a collaboration with Vanessa Kwan, is a text-based meditation on the rapidly changing surfaces of Gastown/ Chinatown and the Downtown Eastside. So long we miss you forever borrows letters from some of the now-dwindling hand-painted signs that are slwoly disappearing amongst condo developments and new storefronts in the area. Slightly sad and sort of absurd, the posters articulate a fond and final farewell. The project consists of three posters-- each distributed separately, over the course of three consecutive weeks between July 12 - August 3rd, 2008
So long we miss you forever was produced for Spatial Poetics XI and the Powell Street Festival in 2008.
In 2019, the posters were reproduced and enlarged for participation in It’s Never Too Late to Speculate, a project by Urban Subjects for Fluc - In der Kubator des Kabinetts, in Vienna, Austria
