Nonserie is a wallpaper pattern that takes the form of Chinoiserie as a point of departure. Its pictorial elements are derived from Dutch prints depicting Java found in the Rijskmuseum print collection, and on online auction sites. Interspersed between these are cloud forms from Chinese porcelainand textiles that are reminiscent of patterns found on Javanese batiks.
